Britain’s Most Inspiring Salons 2012
The Most Inspiring Salons Top 30 is voted by Professional Beauty readers, who have nominated the salons that inspire them through their business models and are driving the industry forward through their services, facilities, marketing and management.
We compiled the list from online nominations and then asked those 30 salons to rank one another to decide on the final order. We also quizzed them about their achievements and future plans to see what is keeping them at the top of their game.
Number 3: Zen Lifestyle Edinburgh
An award-winning year once again cements Edinburgh-based salon business Zen in the top three. Its flagship salon which opened in the heart of Edinburgh’s premium shopping district last year, has been the talk of the industry with other salons saying, “It is quite an achievement and an inspiration to us all.” It has a broad range of treatments including an advanced clinical offer and an open plan retail area. The salon also incorporates a champagne nail bar and lash and brow, and took home the Professional Beauty Award for Beauty Salon of the Year (4 rooms or more). Director Kieran Fowley says that Zen is planning to build the team across its 3 salons and is also developing a referral scheme with local hotels to create new income streams. Other salons are inspired by: “Zen Lifestyle is innovative and forward thinking.”
