At Zen Lifestyle, we’re absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted in four categories in the Professional Beauty Awards 2014! We’ll be putting out a series of blog posts to tell you a little more about each of the categories.
In this blog post, let us tell you about our Teviot Place Salon which has been shortlisted for the Beauty Salon of the Year – four rooms or more category.
The Professional Beauty Awards is the most prestigious and established awards scheme for the beauty spa, nails and aesthetics markets, recognising those who make a real difference to the industry and encouraging their development.
We have three luxurious city centre salons, and are open seven days a week offering early morning and late evening appointments. The high standards set by the business have resulted in Zen Lifestyle being awarded 16 national beauty industry awards. In March 2012, the business was recognised with the accolade of Best Salon (UK and Ireland) at the Professional Beauty Awards.
In this category, the judges are looking for evidence of a well-designed salon that excels at customer service, is committed to staff careers, used brand association superbly and has devised a fantastic treatment menu that meets the needs of its clients.
At the end of last year we carried out a major refurbishment at the Teviot salon, upgrading the interior to create a more modern and luxurious environment for clients. We also created a brow bar to focus on the increasing demand from our clients for lash and brow treatments such as HD brows and Blink & Go Lashes.
The nail bar was expanded to accommodate larger groups which has proved very popular with small groups of clients who like to enjoy a glass of prosecco with their friends while experiencing our amazing Spa Manicures.
We have also invested in new treatments and technology, including the very powerful CACI Ultra anti ageing treatment and the latest fractional laser skin enhancement technology from the states, Clear + Brilliant.
Our staff development programme has been overhauled and improved massively. We have introduced a new training programme for all employees and in October we held our fist Zen Group conference.
We are continuously trying to improve the customer experience at Zen Lifestyle and are always keen to hear any feedback from clients, whether its good or bad.
Ultimately, the winner will be the salon that not only demonstrate all of the above, but also provides a professional and high-quality service that makes it stand out from the competition.
The girls at Zen Lifestyle are looking forward to welcoming both the mystery shopper and industry expert into the salon to show them our salon and excellent products, treatments and experience.
