We are really really thrilled to announce that Zen Lifestyle has been shortlisted for the Professional Beauty Awards 2012!
We have won this award twice before: Best UK Salon 3 rooms or less (2004 Bruntsfield Salon) & Best UK Salon 4 rooms or more (2005 Teviot Place Salon). And a total of 15 Beauty National Industry awards so far.
The awards recognise excellence and achievement across the UK Salon and Spa industry. The judges are looking for leadership, innovation and salons which are raising the bar for standards and improving the image of the industry in society as well as improving standards within the industry.
The judging criteria is very rigorous, including site inspections, visits to the salon by judges who will look at how we operate and receive treatments. They also look into our operating procedures, staff procedures and organisational professionalism, client care etc. There are also mystery shoppers who come for treatments and give anonymous assessments of the salon and treatments. In fact we will soon be visited by an official Professional Beauty Awards judge and another who will visit incognito as a mystery shopper.
The winner will be announced in March at a huge awards ceremony in London, which will be attended by the great and the good of the UK Beauty and Spa industry, as well as hundreds of salon owners, suppliers and manufacturers from all over the UK.
We are doubly excited as our star therapist at Hanover St, Julie Brown, has been shortlisted in the Therapist of the Year category. Julie is a highly professional and experienced therapist and we are sure she will really impress the judges at her practical judging day in London. Well done Julie and good luck!!
